Enraged Portable Slaps Pastor On Evangelism (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye
An unidentified pastor practically offered the other cheek after controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, slapped him for apparently disrupting activities in a bar run by the musician with his preaching.
In the now-viral video, Portable angrily confronted a man he alleged to be a pastor, who reportedly caused a scene at his bar.
In the footage, Portable, visibly upset, demanded that the man prove he has the word of God in him. Portable then slapped the pastor, as he asserted that he too is a child of God. He questioned the man’s sanity for coming to his bar and causing a scene, which he claimed drove customers away. Portable expressed his frustration, saying that the alleged harassment by the said pastor was disruptive and unwelcome at his establishment.
As the man tried to leave, Portable called him back as he boasted about his influence in the town and his ability to protect himself. He insisted that it was God who saved him and accused the man of trying to ruin his bar. In the background, voices in Yoruba expressed discontent, noting that the man chose to come early on a Monday morning instead of on Sunday, further complicating the situation.
Portable concluded by stating that he had no need for anything the alleged pastor had to offer. He explained that he had already prayed at home before coming to the bar and that he knew how to communicate with God without the pastor’s intervention.
