A 19-year-old woman named Fatimo Agboke has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly stabbing her neighbor’s son, Faroul Azeez, to death.

The tragic event happened on September 9, 2024, in the Ijegun area of Lagos State at around 9:20 p.m.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Wednesday.

GWG.ng gathered that Agboke and the 20-year-old Azeez got into an argument that escalated. During the altercation, Agboke was accused of stabbing Azeez in the neck with a broken bottle, which led to his death.

Hundeyin explained, “On September 9, 2024, a complaint was received from the Ijegun area of the state, reported at Isheri-Oshun Division by a man that a neighbour had an argument with his son.”

He continued, “The victim was stabbed with a broken bottle on his neck by Agboke, which caused him grievous bodily harm. He gave up the ghost during an attempt to rush to a hospital for medical attention.”

Police officers arrived at the scene and found Azeez’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood with a deep wound on his neck. The body was taken to Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for an autopsy.

Agboke has been taken into custody, and an investigation is ongoing to fully understand the circumstances of the incident.
