Nollywood actor and former presidential candidate, Yul Edochie, has expressed his excitement after his latest video post garnered over 1.5 million views on Facebook within just 24 hours.

The video, which showed Yul dancing energetically alongside his second wife, Judy Austin, was originally posted on Instagram. In the clip, Judy can be heard chanting in the Igbo language while Yul dances intensely, even making animal-like sounds at some points. Yul also praised Judy in his caption, stating that she “knows how to charge him up.”

The video’s rapid success on Facebook drew an impressive response, accumulating 84,000 likes, 28,000 comments, and 1,500 shares in just a day. Overwhelmed by the support, Yul took to Instagram to thank his fans, calling them “the best” and praying for their continued success.

“1.5 million views on Facebook in 24 hours. 84 thousand likes. 28 thousand comments on Facebook. One thousand five hundred shares. In only 24hrs. Leave am, my fans are the best. Una side go dey prosper dey go. Correct people,” Yul wrote.

However, not all of Yul’s followers were impressed. Some pointed out that while his estranged first wife, May, has been securing endorsement deals, he seemed to be more focused on celebrating social media metrics.

GWG.ng reports that this isn’t the first time Yul has taken pride in his social media achievements. Back in July, the actor credited himself with popularizing the nickname “Nwunye Odogwu,” which he first used to describe Judy in 2022. The term has since gained traction, with many adopting it across social media.
