Strange Speculations Trail Video Of Tinubu Visiting London Hospital

A video of President Bola Tinubu leaving the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital Paddington, London is trending on X formerly known as Twitter. The timing of the video was not immediately known but the president’s visit to what is generally known as the Maternity Wing of St Mary’s Hospital was garnering interest as to the prospects of a new birth to either friend or family of the president.

A source told GWG.ng that the video was an old video and may have leaked to coincide with the visit of the president to the United Kingdom.

In the video, the president in winter dressing was escorted out of the hospital by some minders into a vehicle with the number plate, FGN 1.

The exact timing of the video was not immediately available but President Tinubu looked stable and did not betray any sign of illness.

GWG.ng reports that the Lindo Wing which is the maternity wing of the high-end St Mary Hospital, is usually patronised by the rich and royalty. There are speculations that the visit of the president whenever it happened may have been to a female relative or family friend who may have given birth.

The Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital is the birthplace of some of the most high-profile individuals in the world.

GWG.ng further reports that Prince William was born there in 1982, and Prince Harry was born there in 1984. Prince Williams’ children George, Charlotte and Louis were also born there.

While speculations on why the president visited the maternity or on a new birth by friend or family, the sight of the president leaving the hospital has again revived issues of medical tourism.

It would be recalled that the immediate past First Lady, Aisha Buhari had said at the commissioning of the renovated State House Clinic just days before her husband left office that with the reequipped hospital, that Nigerian leaders and their relations do not need to go abroad for medical consultations.

Her assertion followed disquiet in many sections of Nigeria over the regular visit of her husband to the United Kingdom for his medical issues.

With the Presidency mum on the video of President Tinubu leaving the London hospital, a large section of the country will remain in suspense over the visit of their president to the maternity wing of the high-end hospital.
