Diddy On Suicide Watch After Arrest For Sex Trafficking
By Benjamin Abioye
American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed on suicide watch at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after his recent arrest on several serious charges, according to People Magazine.
The rapper, facing allegations of sex trafficking, kidnapping, and racketeering, was denied bail twice due to the high-profile nature of the case. Prosecutors claim that Combs has been running a criminal organization since 2008, using drugs and violence to manipulate women for his sexual gratification.
During his court appearance, Diddy’s lawyers proposed a $50 million bail package, offering his $48 million Star Island mansion as collateral, along with other assets to make up the rest. However, the court refused, labeling him a flight risk.
A separate request for house arrest with restrictions prohibiting female visitors was also turned down by the judge. If found guilty, Combs could face a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in prison.
His arrest follows federal raids on two of his properties in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024, where authorities reportedly seized 1,000 bottles of lubricant and three AR-15 firearms as part of their investigation.
GWG.ng reports that the placement on a suicide watch is the latest development in the unfolding saga around Diddy Combs.
