Liverpool Triumphs Over Bournemouth With 3-0 Victory

Liverpool returned to winning form in the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 win against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday. Luis Diaz was the star, scoring twice in just two minutes during the first half.

Bournemouth had an early chance when Antoine Semenyo thought he scored in the fifth minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside after a VAR review. Liverpool quickly responded, with Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Darwin Nunez all threatening the Bournemouth goal.

In the 26th minute, Diaz rounded goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to score the first goal, putting Liverpool ahead. Moments later, he struck again, firing through Kepa’s legs after receiving a pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Darwin Nunez added a third goal with a brilliant curling shot, marking his first Premier League goal since April. New signing Federico Chiesa made a lively debut, coming close to scoring with a shot that hit the woodwork late in the game.

Bournemouth, despite their bright start, struggled defensively. They managed to hit the crossbar late on but left Anfield with their second consecutive league defeat.

With this win, Liverpool sits at the top of the Premier League before the weekend’s big match between Manchester City and Arsenal.
