Obaseki Explains Visit To Collation Centre (Video)
As Edo people await the announcement of their new governor, Governor, Godwin Obaseki, in a video circulating on social media, made an early morning visit to the State Collation Centre at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Benin City but all efforts to gain entrance to the collation center was cut short.
In the viral video, the Nigerian Police Force was spotted escorting him out of the primises. This action of the Nigerian Police has created social media buzz most especially from the PDP and APC supporters.

Obaseki said his unannounced appearance at the centre followed unsuccessful attempts to reach the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo State, Anugbum Onuoha.
Although the governor left the collation centre shortly after his visit, he stated that his presence was necessary to ensure transparency and accountability in the collation of results from the recently held governorship election.
