Bobrisky: Verydarkman Explains Apology To Femi Falana

Popular human rights activist and social media commentator, Verydarkman, has publicly apologized to renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Femi Falana.

This comes after an earlier incident where Verydarkman made statements that many perceived as defamatory, linking the legal luminary to controversial dealings involving social media personality Bobrisky and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The drama initially erupted when Verydarkman released an audio recording on social media in which Bobrisky allegedly discussed sensitive details regarding his interactions with the EFCC during his money laundering investigation. The audio sparked a social media frenzy, with netizens dragging the names of key individuals, including Femi Falana and his son, the popular musician and activist, Falz, into the controversy.

Following the audio leak, Femi Falana’s legal team swiftly issued an official statement demanding an immediate retraction of the statements made by Verydarkman, citing potential legal action for defamation if he failed to comply.

In response, Verydarkman took to his Instagram page to clarify his position. He denied ever intending to defame Femi Falana and explained that his reaction was solely based on the content of Bobrisky’s audio. According to him, he simply responded to the allegations made in the recording, calling for a thorough investigation to ascertain the truth of the claims.

“I never defamed, and I will never defame, Femi Falana,” Verydarkman stated in the video. “I only reacted to the audio call made by Bobrisky, which included some allegations against Mr. Falana. I personally choose not to believe that Femi Falana would be involved in such things, and if it turns out otherwise, I would be deeply disappointed.”

Verydarkman expressed his respect for Falana’s contributions to human rights advocacy in Nigeria and emphasized that his statements were not meant to tarnish the reputation of the legal icon. By retracting his earlier comments, he aimed to set the record straight and put an end to any misinformation circulating on social media.
