Edo 2024: Senator Uzamere Thanks Ovia PDP

Senator Ehigie Uzamere has expressed thanks to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP faithful in Ovia areas of Edo State saying that they were able to hold their own during the governorship election despite wha.t he described as the overwhelming pressure of federal might.

He spoke following the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the governorship election.

Congratulating his party men in the grassroots, Uzamere in a statement made available to GWG.ng said:

“My dear brothers and sisters in our Ovia PDP political family, may I most sincerely appreciate you all, for despite the so-called federal might and intimidation, we won the last gubernatorial election in our local government areas and, in Edo State.

“Recall that this present situation happened when Comrade Adams Oshiomhole of then ACN, now APC contested for a second term under PDP led federal government under President Goodluck Jonathan who didn’t interfere in the election. He was the first to congratulate him against his Party. Adams Oshiomhole came through a Court of Appeal verdict in 2008.

“We must be determined to reclaim our stolen mandate. With God on our side, we shall win.

“We will remain committed to what we believe in. Thank you once again, and may God continue to bless us. May God’s will be done,” Uzamere said in his appreciation to the PDP in Ovia.
