Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has urged crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, to turn away from “sinful ways” and reconsider his or her lifestyle choices.

Portable, the Zazoo Zeh crooner offered the advice to Bobrisky to give his or her life to Christ in the wake of the ongoing controversy surrounding the crossdresser’s time in prison.

Bobrisky, who was released from prison on August 5, 2024, after serving a six-month sentence for naira abuse, found himself at the center of fresh allegations when social media influencer Martin ‘VeryDarkMan’ Otse shared an audio clip in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have bribed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15 million to evade the charges against him.

In response, Bobrisky vehemently denied the allegations, calling the viral audio “fake” and maintaining that he never paid any bribe to the EFCC. “I served my term in prison,” the crossdresser insisted.

The allegations led to both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan being invited by the EFCC for questioning. EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede also launched an investigation into the bribery claims.

In a related twist, rapper Falz issued a warning letter to VeryDarkMan, appearing to corroborate some parts of the claims. Falz revealed that Bobrisky had reached out to him for financial assistance to the tune of N3 million, allegedly to pay officials for VIP treatment in prison—a request Falz said he declined.

On Thursday, Bobrisky admitted in a social media post that he was struggling with suicidal thoughts. While he emphasized that he wasn’t seeking sympathy, he expressed a desire for understanding and support during this challenging time.

Reacting to the post, Portable took to Instagram to offer a spiritual perspective on the Bobrisky saga. The singer advised Bobrisky not to consider suicide, urging him or her instead to seek forgiveness and turn to God.

“Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die,” Portable said in his direct message to Bobrisky.

Portable further encouraged Bobrisky to embrace redemption, stating that repentance could bring him peace and fulfillment. “What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world. But if he does not repent…”
