Reps Bars Journalists From Covering Bobrisky Corruption Hearing
By Benjamin Abioye
The House of Representatives has barred journalists from covering its investigative hearing on the corruption allegations involving ₦15 million.
These allegations are related to Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS).
The decision was announced to the House press corps by the Joint Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Services. The lawmakers stated that the investigation into the corruption claims involving the EFCC and NCS in the Bobrisky case is not allowed to be reported on by the media.
This ban comes after the press was previously invited to report on the hearing. Now, journalists will not be able to cover the proceedings of this important investigation.
