VeryDarkMan Mocks Bobrisky’s N1b Lawsuit Threat (Video)

Controversial activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has rebuffed the threat of a lawsuit from social media celebrity Bobrisky arising from his leak of an audio leak in which the crossdresser made damaging claims.

The legal team of Bobrisky had on Sunday issued a notice of a lawsuit to VeryDarkMan alleging that he released an AI-generated audio recording to damage the image of the crossdresser. The legal notice demanded a public retraction and apology within 24 hours.

In response, VeryDarkMan took to Instagram, denying the accusations and claiming that the audio in question was a genuine WhatsApp conversation he had obtained from someone Bobrisky allegedly contacted. He questioned Bobrisky’s sudden decision to pursue legal action, especially after the crossdresser had previously posted about battling suicidal thoughts.

VeryDarkMan also hinted at a countersuit, humorously stating that he would sue Bobrisky for N1,000,000,020, adding a symbolic N20 as personal gain.

“Bobrisky, didn’t you say you wanted to ‘end it all’? Now, suddenly, you’ve found the strength to sue me. This case will expose many and exchange their credibility for my publicity, as always. I will make them regret this,” VeryDarkMan declared in his post.

He further raised questions about a previous incident involving a N3 million payment that Bobrisky allegedly tried to collect from rapper Falz, an allegation that has yet to be addressed publicly by Bobrisky.

VeryDarkMan expressed confidence in his ability to defend himself, stating, “Bobrisky sued me for N1 billion, but I’ll make a mockery of it with N1,000,000,020 and my N20 bonus.”

The feud between the two escalated last Tuesday when VeryDarkMan shared an audio recording purportedly featuring Bobrisky, in which the crossdresser allegedly claimed to have bribed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15 million to drop charges against her. The recording also suggested that Bobrisky’s “godfather,” alongside Haliru Nababa, the Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, arranged for her to serve her six-month prison sentence in a private apartment rather than in a correctional facility.

Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, was reportedly released from prison on August 5, following her conviction for naira abuse in April. Reacting to the audio, Bobrisky dismissed the recording as fake, stating that she never bribed EFCC officials.

Her denial came after the EFCC summoned both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan for questioning over the bribery allegations involving its officials. The anti-graft agency’s chairman, Ola Olukoyede, also ordered an immediate investigation into the claims.
