Controversy As Tinubu’s Man Shares Picture Of Peter Obi ‘Sharing’ Money

Controversy was emerging on Tuesday evening after a rabid Igbo-born supporter of President Bola Tinubu, known on twitter as Pastor Okezie shared a picture that portrayed Labour Party leader, Peter Obi sharing money to a group of political supporters.

The picture of Peter Obi donning a PDP attire which Okezie sought to insinuate a sharing of money was, however, dismissed by many on social media and a confidant of the 2023 Labour Presidential candidate.

Pastor Okezie who has a reputation of criticizing almost everything Peter Obi does made the post as a response to the Independence Day message of the opposition leader.

Peter Obi had in his message while appreciating God for keeping Nigeria to its 64th anniversary had said that it was a time for introspection saying that Nigeria was underperforming on critical areas of development.

Responding to the message of Peter Obi, Pastor Okezie posted a picture from the former governor’s days in the PDP in which he appeared to be interacting with some party supporters and sharing money.

GWG.ng reports that Pastor Okezie had initially posted a video of Anambra born billionaire owner of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof Obiora Okonkwo accusing Peter Obi of rigging an election.

Following that Pastor Okezie shared the picture that appeared to show Peter Obi sharing money.

He posted thus:

The post was immediately followed by sharp responses with nearly all acquitting r Obi of the insinuation of sharing money and attacking Pastor Okezie as a disgrace to the pastoral ministry.

A confidant of Peter Obi debunked the insinuation saying: “Peter Obi will never be involved in the sharing of money and you know what he can do and cannot do.”

“You can see that everything around Peter Obi in the picture is clear but why is it that the thing in his hand is blurred? That is to tell you that somebody with dubious intention has doctored the picture to make what is in his hand not clear.”
