Frustrated Nollywood Actress Warns Fans On Independence Day Greeting

As Nigeria marks her 64th Independence Day, Tuesday, October 1st, Nollywood actress Adaora Ukoh has issued a stern warning to her fans and followers.

Taking to Instagram, Adaora Ukoh made it clear that she does not want to receive any “Happy Independence” messages.

In her post, Adaora jokingly threatened to block anyone who disregards her request, adding that a simple “Happy New Month” greeting would suffice instead.

She wrote:
“Please, no matter what you do in life, do not send me Happy Independence tomorrow, I beg you. I will block whoever does so. Happy New Month will do. Public Service Announcement. Let me be the first to wish my Insta family Happy New Month peeps.”

The refusal by Adaora Ukoh to celebrate Independence Day openly mirrors the frustrations many Nigerians have voiced over the country’s current economic situation, which has been challenging since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office.
