Coming To America Star John Amos Jr. Dies At 84

The American actor John Amos Jr, famous for his roles in ‘Coming to America’ and ‘Good Times’, has died at the age of 84.
His son, Kelly Christopher Amos, confirmed the news in a statement, saying that his father passed away from natural causes on August 21.
“It is with heartfelt sadness that I share with you that my father has transitioned,” Kelly Amos said. “He was a man with the kindest heart and a heart of gold, and he was loved all over the world.”
Amos Jr. was born on December 27, 1939. Before becoming an actor, he played college football at Colorado State University.
He also had a short career in professional football, including time spent with the Kansas City Chiefs in the American Football League during the 1967 offseason.
