Kwankwaso Stirs Controversy After New Caims On Peter Obi (Video)

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former Governor of Kano State and leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has ignited a heated debate on social media after declaring himself “bigger” than Peter Obi politically.

Kwankwaso made the bold assertion in a viral video while speaking in Hausa, where he also stated that he performed better than Obi during his tenure as governor of Kano.

In the video, Kwankwaso further emphasized that he holds a PhD and sees himself as Peter Obi’s “elder brother” in the political arena. However, he noted that he would not have an issue with deputizing Obi, provided certain conditions were met.

The remarks have not sat well with many of Obi’s supporters, who took to the comment sections across social media platforms to express their displeasure. While some acknowledged Kwankwaso’s academic achievements, they argued that leadership goes beyond educational qualifications. Many pointed out that Obi’s impact extends beyond his home state of Anambra, as evidenced by his victories in major cities like Abuja and Lagos during the 2023 presidential election, while Kwankwaso’s influence largely remained in Kano.

Supporters of Obi contended that the former Anambra governor’s leadership style, humility, and national appeal far surpass that of Kwankwaso, who, they claim, lacks similar recognition across the country.
