Adeboye Urges Christians to End Tithing Debate, Gives Solution (Video)
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has made a heartfelt appeal to Christians worldwide, urging them to end the ongoing debate surrounding tithing.
The plea by Adeboye on the tithing debate follows his viral apology video, in which he clarified that “tithing isn’t compulsory and defaulters still have a chance to make heaven.”
In his latest message Pastor Adeboye emphasized the importance of unity and understanding within the Christian community. He acknowledged that opinions on tithing may vary, even among pastors, but urged Christians not to allow these differences to create division within the faith.
He suggested that believers take a balanced approach, advising those who feel inclined to tithe to seek out churches that accept tithes, while still respecting the preferences of their current pastors.
“I am pleading with all Christians globally, let this argument about tithing come to an end,” Adeboye said of the tithing debate. “If your pastor prefers offerings over tithes, respect that decision. But if your heart tells you to give 10%, find a church nearby that accepts tithes so you can maintain peace with both God and your pastor.”

Adeboye’s message reflects his desire to shift focus away from divisive theological debates and promote a spirit of peace, generosity, and mutual respect within Christian communities.
With this plea, Pastor Adeboye aims to foster a harmonious environment where Christians can worship together without letting differing views or debate on tithing affect their spiritual journeys.
