Troops Kill 2 Bandits, Capture 3 Who Blocked Katsina Road
Troops of the Nigerian Army have killed two bandits and captured three others who had blocked the Scheme Road in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
This was disclosed in a short post by a credible security expert cum Conflict and Crisis Journalist in the Northwest region, Bakatsine on his X handle.
According to Bakatsine, the bandits were ambushed by the troops.
He said the assailants met their end during the encounter.
He wrote, “GOOD NEWS: Today evening, Nigerian Army successfully ambushed bandits who had blocked the Sheme road in Faskari LGA, Katsina State. During the encounter, two terrorists were killed, and three others were captured.”
Katsina state, like most states in the northwest, has seen an increase in kidnappings, terrorism, and banditry in recent years, resulting in displacement of communities, restriction of access to farmlands, and the disruption of daily life.
