Donald Trump threatening the Democrats monopoly of the black vote

Vice President Kamala Harris was on Sunday worshiping at a predominantly black Church in Greenville, North Carolina upon increasing fears of Donald Trump getting more support from blacks.

GWG.ng reports that the latest polling records have put Donald Trump with 15% of the black vote. It is a historic record for a Republican candidate in recent times and surpasses the 10% he got in 2016.

The historic surge for the Republican is despite the fact that his rival, Kamala Harris is the first black woman to emerge as a Democratic presidential candidate.

Many complicated reasons are being cited for the bleeding of the black votes by Democrats with the foremost reason being that African-Americans are expressing reservations at being taken for granted by the party.

For that reason many blacks are rebelling and inclining themselves towards the Republican ticket even if Donald Trump and his running mate have repeatedly thrown derisive comments at the black community.

Another reason blacks are turning towards Trump is the claim that he speaks the language that many of them have against immigrants.

GWG.ng reports that another factor that is also sentimentally pushing blacks away from Kamala Harris is her past life as a prosecutor. Many blacks who consider themselves victims of the American justice system consider her as part of the White establishment that has been vengeful towards them, a situation some now say has contributed to the historic 15% polling by Trump among blacks.

GWG.ng reports that the Kamala Harris campaign is now mobilising political heavyweights including President Joe Biden and the Obamas to help address the threat against the Democrats hold of the black vote based on the threat from Trump.

Biden and the Obamas are expected to feature more prominently in the last three weeks of the campaign as the Harris Campaign seeks to mobilise blacks to come out on D-Day.
