Different Strokes As Buhari Gets Message Of Being Missed
Nigerians have taken to social media to react to a message to President Muhammadu Buhari by popular comedian, Lasisi Elenu in which he cried that he was missing him.
Buhari was president of Nigeria between 2015 and 2023 and left under a cloud of having taken the economy down from where he inherited it. Expressive of that measure was the fall of the exchange rate of the naira which went from N175 to the dollar to about N750 to the dollar.
GWG.ng reports that the dollar was, however, trading at about N1,700 in the Black Market on Wednesday, a far lower position from what Buhari handed over to President Bola Tinubu. Even more, petrol price has multiplied nine fold within Tinubu’s first 18 months from what he inherited from Buhari.
The increase in petrol prices has led to the highest cost of living crisis in a generation leading to many Nigerians like Lasisis Elenu lamenting for the days of Buhari.
In a message to Buhari on his Instagram and X handles, in which Lasisi Elenu said he was missing the former ruler, he said:
“Boss, how is work and the family? I am not sending you this message on behalf of anyone. I think I owe it to myself and my family and to be honest, I never thought that I would be here doing this at this time.
“First, I don’t even know how to say this. I honestly don’t know how to go about this. I feel like I am just trying my best to keep myself and be as respectful.
“I miss you. I miss you, God. I miss you, God abeg, abeg. God help me, I miss you sir,” he cried out.
GWG.ng reports that prior to his exit Buhari had claimed that Nigerians to the shock of many said that he would be missed after he left office.
GWG.ng gathered reactions to the audio message:

Lasisi, you’re funny, but there’s no difference between Buhari and Tinubu. In my opinion, Buhari was even worse bcoz all of Tinubu’s current policies were also introduced by Buhari. Buhari had plans to remove the fuel subsidy as well, all the challenges we’re facing today were part of Buhari’s agenda. If Buhari had continued in power, the situation would have been even worse.

Only fools will take this out of context! Buhari was clearly better than this fraud in the Presidency! If you think otherwise… Remove the corn from your mouth!
