Tragic Incident: DPO Slumps, Dies In His Office
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the passing of CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ijanikin Police Station.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the command, made this announcement on Friday night. However, he did not provide further details regarding the circumstances that led to the officer’s death.
According to earlier reports from the News Agency of Nigeria, CSP Olugbenga reportedly collapsed while in his office and died before he could be taken to a hospital for treatment.
The news of his passing has left the officers at the Ijanikin Police Station in deep mourning. A source within the division indicated that the officer’s body has since been moved to a mortuary. This tragic event has impacted the entire team at the station.
