Student Bites Off Classmate’s Tongue In Fight Over Food
A female Senior Secondary school student named Amarachi Chibueze has reportedly bitten off the tongue of another student at a federal government-owned school in Umuahia.
The shocking incident occurred on Friday during a quarrel between the two students over food.
According to witnesses, during the altercation, Amarachi grabbed her classmate, Adaeze, by the neck before inflicting the severe injury by biting off the outer part of her tongue and then spitting it out onto the ground.
Following the attack, Adaeze was quickly taken to a hospital in Umuahia, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment.
There are conflicting reports regarding Amarachi’s status at the school. While some sources indicate that she has been expelled, others suggest that she is currently being held to assist with the ongoing investigation into the incident.
