Senator Tony Nwoye Hailed As FG Rehabilitates Another Constituency Road
Motorists plying the Onitsha – Nwafor Orizu College – Umueri Road are pouring encomiums on Senator Tony Nwoye for his commendable action in facilitating the rehabilitation of the road.
The road which traverses Onitsha North and Anambra East Local Government Areas of Anambra State had for long been in a state of disrepair making its use a tortous endeavour for many motorists.
That was until Senator Tony Nwoye took up the rehabilitation project with the federal authorities following his inauguration.
GWG.ng reports that the road rehabilitation was sequel to the outcry of constituents some of who had gone on Twitter to solicit the intervention of Senator Nwoye in addressing the situation.
One X user Mr Ifeanyi Ogbaji and many others brought the attention of the Senator to the state of the road and the nightmare it caused the road users and Residents.
The road rehabilitation was handled by the Federal Ministry of Works through its agency, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
While speaking on the economic importance of the road project during a recent inspection of the project, Senator Tony Nwoye said the rehabilitated road project would enhance transportation of agricultural products from farm to markets, and also enhance economic activities in the area.
Senator Tony Nwoye also promised to install Solar Lights along the road.
Appreciating Dr Tony Nwoye for facilitating the project, many Keke drivers and road users said that since the road was rehabilitated, it has reduced hardship being faced by motorists and commuters on the road. Many of them thanked Dr Tony Nwoye for his quick intervention. Many of the road users also praised the Senator for the good representation at the Senate, saying they were happy with him.
