CAF Super Eagles AFCON Qualifier Dates

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the official dates for the Super Eagles’ final two qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

These games will be decisive in confirming Nigeria’s spot in the tournament.

On Thursday, November 14, the Super Eagles will play against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic. This match will take place at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, with an 8 p.m. kickoff local time. Fans are expected to attend in large numbers, creating an energetic atmosphere.

After the match in Abidjan, the Super Eagles will return to Nigeria to face the Amavubi of Rwanda in their final qualifier on Monday, November 18. This game will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, beginning at 5 p.m. The stadium has a strong reputation as a fertile home ground for Nigeria’s national team.

The Super Eagles, coached by Augustine Eguavoen, currently lead Group D with 10 points from four matches. They need just one more point from the game against Benin to secure their qualification for AFCON 2025. With high stakes, the team aims to deliver solid performances in these final qualifiers.
