Delectable Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has addressed the controversy surrounding a viral video in which she was reported to have claimed she had up to 20 boyfriends for various purposes.

Regina Daniels’ statement, which sparked a flurry of reactions online, led the actress to clarify her remarks and offer the context.

Earlier, in the widely circulated video, Daniels was seen discussing how she had defied her family to marry her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko. During the conversation, she humorously mentioned having numerous boyfriends in the past, each serving different roles in her life—some to drive her around and others to run errands.

However, in a recent post on social media, Regina Daniels set the record straight. She emphasized that her comments about the “20 boyfriends” were not to be taken literally and were intended to make a point. Daniels explained that having male friends willing to help doesn’t imply a physical or romantic relationship with them.

“Hey everyone, I want to clarify the ‘20 boyfriends’ issue solely to soothe my husband and also educate young girls that having several male/boy friends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them your body,” she wrote.

Daniels also highlighted her commitment to remaining a virgin until marriage. “And oh yes, I did have a lot [of male friends], but I made a promise to keep my virginity till my marriage. And guess what? I did! It’s a big flex.”

The actress further addressed her critics, noting that her popularity and appearance naturally attracted admiration from both men and women. She concluded by asking everyone to remain calm and not read too much into her earlier comments.

“So, everyone chill pls,” Daniels added, in her candid response.

Regina Daniels’ clarification aims to quell misconceptions and reinforce the message of maintaining one’s principles despite outside pressures or public opinion.
