United States Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is to skip voting in her native California and becoming the first known major presidential candidate in history to take such a decision having sent in her vote by post.

GWG.ng reports that on the last night before the vote which was Tuesday morning in Nigeria, Kamala Harris was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she held her last rally to mobilise votes in the closest election to call in recent United States history.

It was gathered that she sent in her vote by mail late last week as she crisscrossed the swing states in a desperate attempt to push through her bid to become the first woman in United States history to become president.

Speaking at the rally in Philadelphia after she was introduced by Oprah Winfrey just before 6.00 am Nigerian time, an exhausted Kamala Harris in an address broadcast across the country said:

“Momentum is on our side our side. It is time for a new generation of leadership in America and I am ready to offer that leadership to the United States of America.

“The race is not over and this could be the closest race in our history and every single vote matters”

“Please talk with your friend and family and encourage everyone to vote,”  asking voters to make their voices heard.

“We will win because when you know what you stand for you know what to fight for.”

GWG.ng reports that Donald Trump is also expected to make his final campaign pitch in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is by all accounts one of the most conservative towns in the Bible Belt.
