A man claiming to be the husband of Ahoo Dayarei, the female student of Azid University in Tehran who stripped herself to her underwear after an altercation with Islamic Police within her school has appealed to the public not to watch the video of his wife in her underwear.

In a tearful post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the man pleaded with the public to protect the dignity of his wife who he said is a mother of two children by not watching the video.

GWG.ng had earlier reported how Ahoo Dayarei was accosted by Islamic Police enforcers over claims of not wearing her headscarf properly. During the altercation she was partially stripped of her headscarf and her clothes was partially torn. In a response Ahoo Dayarei made an unprecedented scene by stripping herself to her underwear.

She was in that state until some men in a car came in and bundled her into a car.

GWG.ng gathered that she is now in a mental institution with her case being reviewed by medical doctors.

In a passionate plea to the public, the alleged husband of Ahoo Dayarei urged the public not to watch the video.

He said:

“I am the husband of the woman who did this ugly act today. I am asking people not to watch this video she is a mother of two children. Don’t play with her dignity because she is psychologically ill. I am asking you not to watch this clip. I beg you.”

The group in a statement said:

“Iran’s authorities must immediately and unconditionally release the university student… Pending her release, authorities must protect her from torture and ensure access to her family and lawyer.”
