Shehu Sani Warns Of New Terrorist Group In Sokoto State
Former Senator Shehu Sani has raised concerns about the emergence of a new terrorist group called Lukarawa in Sokoto State.
The Defence Headquarters recently confirmed the rise of this group in the north-western region. Reports suggest that the group is causing significant distress for residents of Sokoto State.
In response to this development, Shehu Sani posted on his official X handle, recalling how Borno and Yobe States have endured attacks from Boko Haram for over a decade.
Sani noted that the appearance of a new terrorist group would only widen the area of conflict in the ongoing battle against terrorism in the region.
Despite his concerns, he expressed hope that the nation would prevail against the terrorists.
He wrote, “For a country that has been fighting terrorism in multiple fronts for over one decade, the emergence of a new terrorist group in Sokoto will only expand the theatre of operations.
“There is no evil and cruelty that the people of Borno and Yobe have not seen or experienced for over fifteen years. Our country shall overcome and prevail over them.”
