Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has publicly criticized social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, describing him as manipulative and toxic arising from what she alleges as the failures of his mother in giving him a good upbringing.

In a detailed post on her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo blamed VeryDarkMan’s mother for his upbringing, which she claimed lacked love, care, and stability.

Iyabo alleged that VeryDarkMan’s behavior stems from unresolved childhood trauma caused by his parents’ failures. She wrote, “Vincent, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of your behavior, and I must say, it’s quite sad. It seems like your upbringing lacked love, care, and stability. Hence, your toxic narcissistic behavior. Your parents failed to provide you with a nurturing environment, leading to unresolved anger and pain.”

The actress accused VeryDarkMan of misdirecting his frustrations toward successful people, particularly women. She recounted his struggles as a child, including incidents of stealing to survive, and questioned why his mother allowed such circumstances. “Listening to your story, you had to fend for yourself at a very young age, which resorted to stealing potatoes and chickens to survive. You almost got lynched when you tried to steal a bicycle. That was traumatizing, but why would your mother allow that to happen?” she asked.

Iyabo further criticized VeryDarkMan’s mother, suggesting that her dependence on her ex-husband and lack of initiative contributed to his difficult childhood. “Mama Vincent, your lack of initiative and dependence on your ex-husband is concerning. Were you not working at all before he ran away? Was your character flawed? Did he want DNA?”

She added, “Vincent, your mother, who failed to provide you with a stable and loving environment, left you for the streets. Still, you projected it on us; why?”

The actress also addressed VeryDarkMan’s alleged obsession with her, stating, “Your obsession with Iyabo Ojo is telling me that my name lives rent-free in your head. I don’t have 100m to remove it from your head, so please, if it helps you breathe well at night, continue.”

Iyabo concluded by urging him to forgive his parents and find healing. VeryDarkMan, free your heart from hate by first forgiving your parents so that you can find peace,” she advised.
