Under pressure manager of Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was on Sunday night forced to respond to taunts from Liverpool FC fans of his imminent sack after his team succumbed to a 0-2 loss at Anfield.

GWG.ng reports that it was his fifth loss in six matches, a record that the once dominant manager had not grappled with.

Following the loss to Liverpool, the prospects of Guardiola being sacked immediately rocked Anfield, the Liverpool stadium forcing Guardiola to respond with his fingers pointing out that he had won six league titles since he joined Manchester City in 2016.

While many including Manchester United fans mocked, many others were supportive saying that Guardiola’s dry spell cannot wipe away the dominance with which he straddled English, nay European football in the last eight years.

GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions on the taunt of Guardiola being sacked.

Pep Guardiola’s success speaks for itself! Six Premier League titles is an incredible achievement, and his confidence in the face of adversity is what makes him such a top manager. No matter what anyone says, he lets his achievements do the talking!   #PepGuardiola #PremierLeague #ChampionMindset

We cannot replace him , man has achieved than Liverpool in the last 15 years so I’m not surprised

UF @UtdFaithfuls

In his 26 years at Man Utd, Sir Alex Ferguson NEVER suffered 4 league defeats in a row, 6 defeats in 7 games, and 0 win in 7 games. Never mention him and Pep Guardiola in the same sentence ever again. THE GREATEST MANAGER OF ALL TIME 👑🐐

Ben Kew @ben_kew

Anyone trying to mock this man’s achievements will end up looking stupid.
