Two men, Emmanuel Linus and Moses Daniel, have been arrested in Abuja for impersonating Nigerian Army officers and engaging in fraudulent activities.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command revealed the arrest, stating that the suspects were part of a criminal syndicate that specializes in deceiving victims by using fake bank alerts to purchase goods and services.

Commissioner of Police Tunji Disu disclosed that Linus was apprehended on November 30, 2024, wearing full Nigerian Army camouflage and carrying a fake military ID card.

The card, which contained false personal details, immediately raised suspicions. “The suspects have been using fraudulent means to exploit unsuspecting individuals,” Disu explained.

Investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the syndicate, with police assuring the public of further updates as the case progresses.
