Why I Am Not Romantically Linked To Mothers Of My Children – Timaya

Nigerian music star Timaya has shared why he has remained unmarried despite his success in his musical career.

In an interview with Naija FM, he admitted that marriage has never been something he desired, and he has never felt drawn to it. However, he did leave open the possibility that his stance could change in the future.

Timaya explained that his reluctance towards marriage comes from his need for freedom and dislike of stress. He said, “I’ve never been a married guy right from time but it can change because marriage ‘dey craze’? I just look at it like if I marry today, would I be able to get out? In all my previous relationships, I was the one who got out because I don’t like stress.”

He emphasized the importance of open communication in relationships, adding that he values honesty and transparency. “If you have a problem with me, let’s talk about it because I don’t like going to bed thinking about things, I go die o. I don’t like anything to bother me at all,” he said.

When it comes to fatherhood, Timaya shared that his children live with their mothers but they all maintain a close relationship. He acknowledged that being a father can be stressful at times but also expressed the joy he finds in it.

Timaya mentioned that he enjoys spending quality time with his children, who often visit him for extended periods.

Although he is not romantically involved with their mothers, Timaya stressed that they have a respectful and family-oriented relationship.
