Netflix Debunks Nigeria Exit Reports
Netflix has addressed rumors about its alleged withdrawal from Nigeria, clarifying its position on the matter.
Speculation had spread that Netflix might be leaving the Nigerian market due to economic difficulties and regulatory challenges.
However, in a statement to TechCabal, the streaming giant firmly denied these claims, stating its ongoing commitment to Nigeria.
“We are not exiting Nigeria. We will continue to invest in the country’s stories to delight our members,” Netflix said.
The company emphasized its dedication to showcasing Nigerian stories and supporting local creators. Since entering the Nigerian market in 2016, Netflix has played a key role in bringing local content to a global audience.
