Gboko, Nigeria based bible teacher Bro Gbile Akanni has charged Christians not to lose the momentum first inspired at the outpouring of the Holy Ghost in the unfolding harvest of souls.
He spoke on Saturday in the Morning Charge at the ongoing Ministers Leadership Retreat, MLR.
Speaking on the topic “Equipment for the harvest” the bible teacher lamented that God’s expectation for a great harvest for souls was being challenged by the availability of ready harvesters.
GWG.ng reports that the retreat which is decentralised across several centres across Africa,  North America, Europe has the theme, Put In The Sickle, the harvest is come.
Noting the great outpouring of power that came with the Holy Ghost, he likened it to a farmer adopting a mechanised scheme for farming.
He then asked:
“Can you start a farm on a mechanised scheme and then use a cutlass for the harvest?”

Noting the charge from Jesus to the early 120 disciples on his departure, he said:
“Jesus told the Disciples to abide in Jerusalem until they were endued with power.”
He said that outpouring led to great works including harvest of thousands od souls and the remarkable miracles performed by the early apostles.
“On the day of Pentecost something strange happened to them. That was
when Peter and John demonstrated power at the beautiful gate of the temple.”
While noting that the great harvest at that time is now running into a humdrum with little energy, Bro Gbile intended that the scheme for souls commenced on a mechanised farming scale must not be reduced to cutlasses and hoes.
He lamented that the harvest at the moment was being limited by the lack of available harvesters.
“If the Holy Ghost were to come this morning, into what vessels will he pour when you are already filled with malice and yourself.”
“The question is where are the people that Jesus wants to pour into.
“Jesus has to be reigning in your life before you can bring Him to reign in someone else,” Bro Gbile said as he went on to reference how God demonstrated capacity carrying His people through impossible terrains as severally illustrated in scripture.

“If God had not helped us how long would it have taken to construct a bridge to cross the River Jordan.”
“When we are asking for outpouring, the question is where are the people God will fill,” Bro Gbile said as he noted the encumberances of self and sin.
He then said that only men cleansed by God through His word will have a role in the harvest.
“The sickle that we need for this harvest is nothing but the Holy Ghost.
“When the power of the Holy Ghost comes upon a man, the instrumentality which He uses to change the man is the Word of God,” the cleric said as he referenced  Jeremiah 1:9
“It is the word that He put in the mouth. It’s the word that is like a hammer that breaks men.”
Notng Mark 16:19-20, Bro Gbile said God confirms His word with signs but only when the word is spoken
“If you don’t preach the word there is nothing for God to confirm. When the Holy Ghost came to Peter it was the word He preached. The word of God does not beg sinners, it doesn’t entertain sinners. It compels sinners and men to repent.

“Can fire be upon someone and he will be sleeping? Can a hammer hit someone’s head and he will be motionless?”
Bro Gbile then observed that if the word does not affect it is because it is impotent in the vessel.
“The principle is that God must have a man who has made himself His sanctuary,” Bro Gbile pointed out in affirming the potency of God’s word.
GWG.ng reports that the MLR ends on Saturday evening with a closing charge viewable on the YouTube channel @livingseedmediagboko
