Nigerians Counter Govt, Hail Kemi Badenoch

Published

on

Despite the Federal Government’s official rebuke of the inclinations of the Nigerian born leader of the United Kingdom’s Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, ordinary Nigerians have countered with a strong endorsement of her assertions.

GWG.ng reports that Kemi Badenoch has stirred controversy by her hard policies including stemming immigration into the United Kingdom and her denunciation of corruption in Nigeria. She was quoted as expressing the fact that she does not take pride in the society she grew up in.

Chairperson of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa has also been quoted as saying that Kemi Badenoch has made herself out of reach for Nigerian authorities to interface with her.

Vice President Kashim Shettima on his part recently challenged her to remove the Kemi in her name to completely detach her memory of her Nigerian roots.

GWG.ng has also reported her as saying that she has nothing to be proud of Nigeria as a country even as she took pride in her Yoruba heritage. She affirmed that she clearly will not like to be associated with the Boko Haram ravaged Northern part of Nigeria.

Her bold stance has now been lapped by many Nigerians. GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions.

Governor @ReliableGov

Kemi Badenoch self made herself, nobody has any bragging rights to manipulate her to help an illegitimate govt. An average successful Nigerians fought their way to reality. The gate keeper of Boko Haram should channel his energy elsewhere. I stand with Kemi.

Agu @EkezuIkpa_II

Now you get my point! Nigeria has myriads of problems and they haven’t been able to solve any of them in APC’s 9 terrible years in office. That cluelessly incompetent man is distracting Nigerians, and now Kemi has been added to one of their problems.

ShikaOnyi @ShikaOnyi

Nigerians are too forgetful.  She is a sellout. She will happily still do business with the same corrupt Nigerian politicians she lambasts Today whenever her Oyinbo masters orders her to.

Jasper Ume @JasperUme

Instead of Nigeria elites some other vested interest groups should seek a turn new leave hearts in redeeming Nigeria again dey resort to jettisoned de message chasing shadows of messenger I don’t think Kemi has any regret for comments she stood her grounds it shows Nigeria faulty

RBNM. @dotenadot

She has my full support…

Dare Ayodele @oladare_ayodele

She is precise and wise. The reality of our individuality reflects the mentality of our nationality.

Kemi is sincere—no sentiments attached! We are Nigerians, but it is our mentality that defines the best of us in leadership.

Marian Odiete @AmahOdiete

I fully stand with her oo ♥️🤗 someone that’s standing up for the truth refuse to work with the wicked she’ll win oooooo 🙌🙏

SPM 💫💢 @successgroupng

Please get a court order to bring her back to Nigeria like they always do for common Nigerians. Sometimes it’s best to deal with these people from afar… 😂

Nwangbụrụka G.U (Engr.) @roxuzoma

Whoever Nigerians support in diaspora to me is always questionable. The same way they supported Kamala Harris.

I would love to know what exactly this woman has done besides talking against Nigeria.

Our collective hate for Nigerian politicians has made her kinda immune to scrutiny.

LeoX @TruthCentric

You are very rational in your thinking – you have never failed to prove that. I was disappointed hearing some people I respect bash this lady.

I believe she was even too diplomatic in putting Nigeria in her place. A country of empty people who think too much of themselves.

LIONESS @powerful12222

Don’t be carried away. Just stand one corner and look, she can change colour any time
