“Why I Did Not Attend Shiloh 2024”- Dino Melaye

Among the voices weighing in on is Senator Dino Melaye, whose remarks about the absence of Bishop Abioye at Shiloh 2024 of the Living Faith Church have set the social media on frenzy.

Taking to his social media platform, Melaye questioned the decision to retire Bishop Abioye, until recently a key figure in the church’s structure. He said the retirement was despite the fact that ishop David Oyedepo, the founder and older counterpart, remains actively involved. His post read:

“I did not attend Shiloh 2024. Because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow. I can’t understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye who is younger that should be forcefully retired. God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did. Let’s watch…”

This statement has reignited conversations among worshippers and on social media about the church’s recent leadership changes. Bishops Abioye and Aremu, who retired in October 2024, had been instrumental in the growth and administration of the ministry.
