Manchester United have reportedly reignited their pursuit of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen as the club seek to strengthen the attacking formation.

The Red Devils are looking for alternatives to underperforming strikers Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee, with Osimhen emerging as a key target under new manager Ruben Amorim. Amorim had recently dropped Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from the squad for the Manchester derby, raising questions about United’s offensive lineup.

The 25-year-old striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in outstanding form this season. In 13 appearances across all competitions, Osimhen has netted 10 goals and provided five assists, drawing significant attention from top clubs across Europe.

However, Juventus appear to have a strong interest in Osimhen, as they look to replace Dusan Vlahovic. Having previously excelled in Serie A with Napoli, Osimhen may find the Italian club an attractive destination.

Manchester United are not the only Premier League side pursuing the Nigerian international. Arsenal have also shown interest, with former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit urging the Gunners to secure Osimhen in the January transfer window. Chelsea have also reportedly joined the race, offering another potential destination that could rival United.

Adding to the complexity of the situation is Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, which has become a major talking point. Napoli’s director, Giovanni Manna, recently dismissed speculations about a January transfer. Speaking to DAZN, Manna stated, “I have said it many times—nobody has approached us. Victor is a Napoli player, currently playing for Galatasaray. A lot has been said about this, but nothing is happening.”

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is closely monitoring developments, particularly if Marcus Rashford, now linked with a move to the French club, departs Manchester United. This adds another layer of competition for Osimhen’s signature, making his future increasingly uncertain.

The striker’s loan deal with Galatasaray includes a January break clause, allowing him to move mid-season if the right opportunity arises. With Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and PSG all in the mix, the next chapter in Osimhen’s career remains highly anticipated.
