Super Eagles Midfielder Involved In Lamborghini Crash
Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was involved in a car accident on Saturday evening near Bracciano, Italy.
The Lazio player fortunately escaped without any injuries, much to the relief of his fans and teammates.
The accident happened just two days before Lazio’s match against Inter Milan, which ended in a heavy 6-0 loss for his team. Dele-Bashiru was reportedly driving his Lamborghini in a busy area when the crash occurred, causing significant damage to the car. Local authorities quickly arrived at the scene and began an investigation into the incident.
After the accident, Dele-Bashiru contacted his Dutch teammate, Noslin, who came to his aid. Noslin helped him get home safely after the unsettling experience.
Despite the ordeal, Dele-Bashiru showed resilience by returning to training the very next day, Sunday morning. He was also named on the bench for the game against Inter Milan and entered the match in the 57th minute, replacing Spanish winger Pedro.
Initially, the incident was not widely known but gained attention on social media after reports from local Italian sources spread the news.
GWG.ng reports that the accident involving Dele-Bashiru remarkably happened the weekend before his fellow Eagles player and Atalanta player, Ademola Lookman won the African Footballer of the year award.
