Yul Edochie famed for his unfazed political support for President Bola Tinubu has announced his and Seyi Tinubu’s intentions to be governors.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has declared his intention to run for governor of Anambra State.

Yul Edochie made the announcement on his official Instagram page, where he also predicted that Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, would become the future governor of Lagos State.

Yul Edochie’s declaration has sparked widespread reactions online. In his post, he shared a photo of himself with Seyi Tinubu, captioning it, “The next Governor of Lagos State @seyitinubu with The next Governor of Anambra State @yuledochie Sealed. THANK YOU LORD!” This announcement has received both support and skepticism from the public.

Edochie, a strong supporter of President Tinubu, has been involved in Nigerian politics for some time, including his previous presidential bid. His shift towards running for the governorship of Anambra shows his continued desire to engage in the political scene.

Reactions to Edochie’s announcement have been mixed. Some of his followers expressed support for his ambition, while others questioned his readiness for the role.

GWG.ng reports that one yet unspoken challenge for Yul Edochie to be governor is the issue of his troubled marriage following the discord with his first wife and inclinations towards fellow actor, Judy Austin.

One person commented, “Na today I confirm say you day craze sha,” while another added, “Which Anambra state? In ur dreams 😂😂😂 We can’t have mumu as a governor. God forbid.”

Despite the criticism, there were supporters who stood by Edochie’s political aspirations. One wrote, “From your lips to the ears and heart of GOD.🙏🏼 May God keep and protect you both in strength and good health.👏🙏🏼🙏🏼”
