Frank Edoho Mocks Reno Omokri For Celebrating “Bare Minimum” Achievements

Veteran TV host Frank Edoho has criticized former presidential aide Reno Omokri for praising what he described as the “bare minimum” accomplishments of the Nigerian government during the holiday season.

Reno had taken to X to highlight what he considered positive developments in Nigeria, listing several points in his post:

Reduction in fuel prices, absence of fuel queues, and exportation of refined petroleum products.

Availability of food despite high prices.

Free Federal Government-owned interstate public transport for the holidays.

Payment of the new minimum wage to federal workers.

A reduction in insecurity, with prominent figures behind regional instability, like Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa, in custody.

Reno concluded his post by stating, “We may not be where we want to be as a nation, but things are gradually getting better in Nigeria in many ways. As a Nigerian, you have enough reasons to smile this period.”

Reacting to this, Frank Edoho, best known as the former host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, called out Reno for celebrating what he saw as basic expectations. Frank wrote, “We are so third world that the absence of fuel queues and fuel scarcity in a so-called oil-producing country is regarded as a sign that things are getting better. Reno, please stop.”

Frank’s comment has sent the social media on frenzy, with many Nigerians agreeing that fundamental services like fuel availability should not be framed as extraordinary achievements in an oil-rich nation.
