Man Who Forgot Password Accused Of ‘Stealing’ Wizkid’s Phone

A Nigerian man’s attempt to get help unlocking his iPhone 15 Pro Max has spiraled into controversy, with social media users tagging Wizkid, the Nigerian police, and even the FBI, alleging the device might be the phone the superstar recently reported missing.

The man, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his dilemma, claimed he had forgotten his phone’s passcode after getting tipsy during the Native Land 2024 event where Wizkid also lost his phone.

In his post, he wrote:
“Please, who knows how to unlock an iPhone 15 Pro Max? I got drunk at Nativeland and forgot my passcode. 😅🌚.”

However, the man’s plea quickly attracted attention, with users speculating the phone might be the one Wizkid is offering ₦5 million to recover. Many tagged authorities and Wizkid himself, urging them to investigate.

In response to the growing accusations, the man issued a disclaimer:
“Make una stop tagging the police, this is my phone, I only forgot my passcode because I was drunk at Nativeland.”

This development with the man comes just hours after news broke that Wizkid’s phone went missing at the event, prompting the Afrobeat star to offer a generous reward for its return.

As the story gained traction, the comments section on the man’s post was flooded with mixed reactions, with some users calling for caution and others making light of the situation given the news of Wizkid reporting his phone as missing.
