The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has unveiled a list of vacancies for positions within the organisation as part of its efforts to strengthen its workforce and enhance service delivery.

The FIRS vacancies aim at attracting professionals with specialized skills across various departments, ranging from Tax Investigation to Public Relations, Risk Management, and Cybersecurity.

According to the FIRS official announcement, the advertised roles include Assistant Managers, Deputy Managers, Senior Managers, and Assistant Directors in specific fields such as Tax (Investigation), Public Relations, ICT (Cybersecurity & AI Management), Legal, and Tax Audit. Salary levels for the roles vary depending on the position, ranging from levels 04 to 08.

General Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for any of the listed positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Second Class Lower Division or Lower Credit.

Have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program no later than December 31, 2017.

Candidates for Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager roles must not exceed 40 years of age by December 31, 2024, while Senior Managers and Assistant Directors must not exceed 45 years.

Demonstrate strong leadership, management, and analytical skills, alongside a solid understanding of Nigerian Tax Laws and their applications.

Exhibit the ability to work effectively in a team and delegate responsibilities when required.

Interested candidates are required to apply through the official FIRS career portal at careers.firs.gov.ng or via verified FIRS social media handles. The application portal will open on Monday, December 23, 2024, and the deadline for submission is January 11, 2025.
