Nigerian Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy, whose real name is Dami Ogulu, shared a cryptic message on social media following the release of his fellow artiste and social media tormentor, Speed Darlington, from police detention.

The conflict between the two began when Speed Darlington linked Burna Boy to American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing serious allegations of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

The tension escalated when Speed Darlington was rearrested in late November, just two months after his initial arrest involving Burna Boy. After spending nearly a month in police detention in Abuja, Speed Darlington was granted bail on December 23, 2024.

On December 24, Burna Boy posted on his Instagram story, expressing his indifference to others’ opinions. He remarked that while people may not care about his critics, his reactions would have serious consequences.

He also hinted that his critics were fortunate that he had a lot to lose. Burna Boy wrote, “When they talk, nobody cares, but it’s a Nuclear disaster when I react. You all don’t know how lucky you are that I have too much to lose now, Walahi a lot of you wouldn’t be here no more. Anyway, make I just go buy another thing relax.”
