APC to Kwankwaso

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), over his recent political claims of reducing the possible votes for the party in the 2027 presidential election to 15,000.

Kwankwaso had reportedly declared that he would reduce the APC’s voter strength in Kano to less than 15,000 votes in the 2027 general elections.

In response, the APC Chairman in Kano, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, dismissed Kwankwaso’s remarks as unrealistic. Abbas urged Kwankwaso to focus on resolving issues within his political party, stating that his predictions for the APC are nothing more than “daydreams.”

Abbas further described Kwankwaso as a “political refugee” who has lost his influence and direction. He accused Kwankwaso of clinging to Governor Abba Yusuf in an effort to stay politically relevant, adding that his alleged expulsion from the NNPP highlights his declining status in the political arena.

The APC leader also warned Kwankwaso against attempting to manipulate votes in future elections. He stated that the APC is determined to reclaim Kano State and protect its people from what he described as Kwankwaso’s undue political interference.

“Our supporters in the APC have nothing to fear from Kwankwaso,” Abbas said. “His cluelessness and self-centered approach have already led to his rejection by the NNPP. Kwankwaso has become a wanderer in politics, moving from one party to another without any sense of direction.”

Abbas accused the former NNPP presidential candidate of leaving the APC because he could not align with the party’s progressive values. He also claimed that Kwankwaso’s inflated ego forced him to abandon the PDP, leaving him politically stranded after the NNPP allegedly refused to accommodate him.
