Young actor Hudson Meek, known for his role in ‘Baby Driver’, tragically passed away after falling from a moving vehicle in Alabama.

The incident occurred on December 19 in Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham. Authorities reported that the 16-year-old suffered blunt force trauma in the fall and died two days later from his injuries.

Meek, who also appeared in the NBC series ‘Found’ and worked on voiceovers for video games and commercials, was a second-year student at Vestavia Hills High School. His mother, Lani Wells Meek, expressed her sorrow in a Facebook post, writing, “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met. Please pray for our family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”

Aside from acting, Meek was passionate about football, enjoyed outdoor activities, and had visited all 50 U.S. states. He was also an organ donor, and his family finds solace in knowing his generosity will continue to impact lives.

The Acting Out Academy, where Meek honed his craft, paid tribute, stating, “We are all devastated at the loss of one of AOA’s first and brightest stars. May you shine forever, Hud. You will be deeply missed.”

The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the circumstances of this tragic event.
