Buhari Commiserates With Emir of Machina, Ex-NIS Boss Over Mothers’ Deaths

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Machina, Alhaji Dr. Bashir Albishir Bukar Machina, and the former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, following the demise of their mothers.

In a telephone conversation with the Emir, Buhari described the late Hajiya Hauwa Mai Bukar Machinawa as a beacon of devotion, resilience, and faith. He praised her unwavering commitment to service and her exemplary life, which he said was rooted in strong values and trust in God, even in challenging times.

In another call to Muhammad Babandede, Buhari reflected on the simplicity and nurturing nature of the late Hajiya Hajara Babandede. He highlighted her vital role in shaping her son’s character, which he said contributed to his remarkable rise as Nigeria’s foremost immigration officer.

The former president offered prayers for the eternal rest of their souls and asked Allah to grant the bereaved families strength and fortitude to cope with the irreplaceable loss.
