All four living United States presidents led by the incumbent, Joe Biden have paid tribute to the longest ever living colleague of theirs, Jimmy Carter who died on Sunday at 100.

GWG.ng reports that former U.S. President Jimmy Carter passed away at the age of 100 in his Georgia home. They described Carter as a symbol of justice and compassion, highlighting his lifelong commitment to humanity and global service.

Biden’s Tribute
President Biden announced that there would be a state funeral for Carter, describing him as a man of great character who dedicated his life to God and humanity. Reflecting on Carter’s legacy, Biden said:

“Over six decades, we had the honor of calling Jimmy Carter a dear friend. But, what’s extraordinary about Jimmy Carter is that millions of people throughout America and the world who never met him thought of him as a dear friend as well.

“With his compassion and moral clarity, he worked to eradicate disease, forge peace, advance civil rights, and house the homeless. He was a man of hope and optimism. The love between Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter is the definition of partnership, and their humble leadership defines patriotism.

“To all young people seeking a meaningful life, study Jimmy Carter. He showed that we are a great nation because we are decent and honorable.”

Biden also outlined Carter’s achievements, from his military service to his presidency and humanitarian efforts, saying:
“I will be ordering an official state funeral in Washington D.C. to honor James Earl Carter Jr., 39th President of the United States, who gave his life in service to God and country.”

Obama’s Message
Former President Barack Obama reflected on Carter’s moral values, which he said earned him the Nobel Peace Prize. Obama stated:
“He believed some things were more important than reelection — like integrity, respect, and compassion. Jimmy Carter believed deeply that we are all created in God’s image.

“Whenever I had the chance to spend time with President Carter, he embodied the values he professed. He taught us what it means to live a life of grace, dignity, and service. Michelle and I send our prayers to the Carter family.”

Clinton’s Reflection
Former President Bill Clinton described Carter as a tireless advocate for justice and fairness. Highlighting Carter’s contributions from his early political career to his work at the Carter Center, Clinton said:
“From his commitment to civil rights as a state senator and governor to his efforts as President to protect natural resources and secure peace between Egypt and Israel at Camp David, Carter worked tirelessly for a better world.

“I will always be proud to have presented the Medal of Freedom to him and Rosalynn in 1999. Our prayers are with Jack, Chip, Jeff, Amy, and their families.”

A Life of Service
Jimmy Carter’s legacy spans decades of humanitarian work, from championing human rights to combating diseases worldwide. His life remains an inspiration for leaders and citizens alike.

President Donald Trump: He Was A Truly Good Man

Donald Trump who mocked Jimmy Carter during his recent campaign in a message on social media following the death said:

“President Jimmy Carter is dead at 100 years of age. While I strongly disagreed with him philosophically and politically, I also realized that he truly loved and respected our Country, and all it stands for. He worked hard to make America a better place, and for that I give him my highest respect. He was a truly good man and, of course, will be greatly missed. He was also very consequential, far more than most Presidents, after he left the Oval Office. Warmest condolences from Melania and I to his wonderful family!”
