Confusion As Elon Musk Changes Name
Tech billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of X, has sparked a fresh wave of online chatter after changing his name on the platform to “Kekius Maximus” on Tuesday.
The move, which Musk made without providing an explanation to the name change, has fueled speculation as it coincides with allegations of his attempts to influence the German presidential election.
Musk’s growing influence across international borders has become a subject of global discourse. In the United States, his role in politics has drawn scrutiny, particularly for his support of former President Donald Trump. Musk publicly backed Trump after a shooting incident at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania and reportedly funneled $200 million into a Political Action Committee (PAC) supporting the former President’s 2024 bid.
This level of involvement has not gone unnoticed. Speaking recently in Arizona, Trump addressed rumors that Musk might seek to leverage his influence to run for the U.S. presidency, dismissing the idea outright.
“And no, he’s not taking the presidency. He’s not going to be president, that I can tell you,” Trump said. “You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country.”
Trump went on to criticize his political opponents for allegedly propagating the narrative, calling the speculation a “hoax.”
Musk, known for his unpredictable actions on X, has yet to comment on his name change or the allegations of political meddling. The billionaire’s unconventional approach to business and social issues continues to keep him at the center of global attention.
