The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has responded to Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State, who recently threatened to continue using his “red biro” against his adversaries.

Wike, in his response, reminded Fubara that he has been using the red biro for 14 years and continues to do so. This statement came after Fubara’s remarks during a church service on New Year’s Eve at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area. There, Fubara declared that he would keep fighting against his enemies with his “red biro.”

Fubara emphasized, “The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me. Every enemy plan will continue to crash.”

In contrast, Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, responded to Fubara’s boastful statement on social media, pointing out that Fubara had only used his red biro for two years. Olayinka posted on X, saying, “Someone who has only used the red biro for less than two years is somewhere reminding himself and boasting that ‘The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me.’ Issokay.”

Olayinka then reminded Fubara, “Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has used the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it?”
