Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has disowned the ‘brother’ said to have been gifted $30,000 by Burna Boy as a way of negatively profiling the barman.
Cubana Chief Priest has said that he does not have a younger brother putting to question the identity of the man who received a $30,000 (N45m) gift from Burna Boy as a way of negatviely profiling the celebrity barman.
GWG.ng reports that the clash between Burna Boy and Chief Priest began after the singer referred to the businessman as “Owerri Rick Ross” in a cryptic post. In retaliation, Chief Priest shared details of their past interactions, accusing Burna Boy of being ungrateful.
As tensions rose, a man claiming to be Cubana Chief Priest’s brother appeared online, lamenting neglect and prompting Burna Boy to offer him financial assistance as a jab at the socialite.
In a recent statement, Cubana Chief Priest clarified his family ties, asserting that he has only one biological older brother and two younger sisters who are doing well as such disclaiming the man helped by Burna Boy.
He dismissed the claim that the man is his brother and emphasized that he owes no one financial responsibility outside his immediate family.
The Chief Priest also expressed skepticism about Burna Boy’s generosity, questioning whether the funds had actually been delivered to the said brother. He remarked, “No alert, no cash. I just want to be sure my so-called village boy received it for real. Show workings! It’s easy to make statements without backing.”
The socialite remained defiant, suggesting that life’s challenges will eventually catch up with everyone. He concluded with a reminder that his success is self-made, saying, “It’s my money. Everyone should find their own.”
The feud between the two celebrities has captured public attention, with fans taking sides and fueling further debates on social media.
